Yo peeps,
Just a quick update because I'm being lazy this morning (as opposed to every other day of my life). Since Joey's departure, nearly a month ago, I've spent a bit of time in England, Wales, Prague and am currently in Poland for a week or so. In England I was very cultured and attended such places as the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Modern Museum, Buckingham Palace, St.Paul's Cathedral and the West End to see Les Miserables. After that I went to Oxford for a few days of wandering around the Universities and canals. I also spent a bit of time with Michelle and Stefan at their new place in Hammersmith (thanks team!) and was introduced to their interesting (I'll leave it at that) housemates. With Michelle and Stefan, we went on some (cheap wine-fueled) dinner trips to Brick Lane, as well as a visit to the very underwhelming Notting Hill Carnival. I think we chose the wrong day to go, though. The day we went, the Sunday, is apparently family day, while the Monday is where all the action's at - full of gang warfare and stabbings and other such fun!
In the
middle of that time in London, Miss Tuck and I went on a road trip to Wales and the South of England. We hired a car and headed to Cardiff for my second (and equally brilliant) U2 concert. We managed to get right up the front and got great views of Bono at his (slightly hungover) best. After Cardiff we continued our trip and headed to Bristol, Bath, Stonehenge (pretty disappointing - really just a big pile of rocks!), Salisbury and Brighton, where we frolicked like ladies, just like Emily Howard from Little Britain.
Last Monday I flew to Prague and spent three days there. Think it's just about got my vote for favourite city so far. I walked around Stare Mesto (the Old Town), Nove Mesto (New Town) and the Jewish area, Josefov, as well as along the bridges (unfortunately half of the Charles Bridge was under scaffolding) and up to the beautiful castle area for great views over the city.
Now I'm in Warsaw, heading to Krakow today, before eventually making my way down to Istanbul to meet my dear sister and future brother-in-law. And then back to Kenya - woohoo!! For all those concerned about
me travelling by myself for a month, you'll be pleased to know that I have occasionally (not too often, I wouldn't want to be too outrageous) been conversing with people I don't know and being generally sociable!
Anyway, that's enough of my rambling. Hope you're all well.
Love,
Brigid

Hey Brigid, still loving all the fantastic photos. It's getting really hard to choose which one is best. I must say that St. Christopher is starting to look a little worse for wear. He may need a few early nights!!! I can't believe how much you have seen, I am soooooo envious of you. Love ya, xxoo
