Holiday is over - we're back in a rainy and grey London again. And believe it or not, I have a wonderful tan all over! Let's hope it lasts for a while.

Sardinia with its clear blue sea and lovely weather already seems far away and almost surreal, but we have a fridge full of sheep's cheese and bottarga to remind us at dinner time. Enrico is depressed, he won't leave the house and in fact he won't even get out of his pyjamas unless I REALLY insist. But I am good at insisting, so right now he is sitting at the computer behind me at the internet cafe on Seven Sisters Road.

Now it's time for job hunting, so I've spent most of today on Regent Street shopping for interview clothes. Grown-up trousers, blouses, a pullover, the sort of stuff that might land me a job in property management. On Monday I will start calling recruitment agencies.

One has to to stay optimistic.

PS. I might add another entry or two with pictures eventually... Just to keep the memory of my longest holiday ever alive.

/pappa
