One week to go

When I gave my notice at work three months ago it felt like the trip was so far away…. it was actually quite hard to understand that it is me who is leaving - I felt like I was talking about someone else’s dream and plans. And here we are now, more or less ready, and it is only one week to go.

Moving back to Finland seems to be much simpler than moving from there to England was. Of course it helps when you have three months rather than three weeks! Anyway, can’t say I would be particularly stressed this time, just excited and very very happy.

There are a few bits and pieces to do still (like having numerous doctor’s appointments as I keep thinking all kind of illnesses I might get and try to get medicines prescribed just in case…) at daytime but evenings are quite fun as I have all these goodbye dinners and drinks to come in the next few days. I really feel properly sent off! Thank you all!!!

I'm sure every single person I know and have spoken lately is quite familiar with my travel plan but here it comes again: Qatar - Thailand (northern part) - Laos - Cambodia - Vietnam - Thailand (southern part) - Malaysia (peninsula) - Singapore - Malaysia (Borneo). At the moment it looks like I’m back in London on 14 July and in Finland on the following week, i.e. around 17 July.
