Leaving PartyLeaving PartyLeaving Party

Linzi, Me, Laina
Weeks passed and we had planned on moving to Bournemouth to live with Grahams parents, Kate and Paul until we had saved enough money to buy our tickets to OZ. We started with selling all of our belongings from the bed to the computers. We sold many items to family and friends, we also sold the majority of our belongings at a boot sale on a very cold and wet Sunday morning. We packed our cars full to the top with our belongings the Saturday night before. We woke early on the Sunday morning around about 6.00am, Mum had stopped at ours the night before as she was helping us the day of the sale. We was half way to the grounds of the boot sale when we realised we had taken the wrong turning and was lost. Half an hour later we finally found the grounds to a boot sale although it was not the car boot sale we had originally planned to attend but it was a boot sale with plenty of free stalls. As soon as we had parked up and open the car we was swamped with other stall holders, we didn't get chance to unpack the

car when the stall holders were digging deep to purchase some of our goods. Before the boot sale was open to members of the public half of our belongings were gone. Sitting there about 10.30am we decided to call it a day. We was soaked through to the bone and cold. So we headed to a road side cafe for a Full English Breakfast and warm mug of tea. Later that day we mad the move to Bournemouth. Three and a half hours later we arrived at our new home where we would stay for the next six months.

The next big task we had ahead of us was to find jobs, in the current financial climate i thought it was going to be difficult. I had posted my resume off to several job agencies, posted them all over the internet. Within four days i had a job and had started on the following Tuesday. At first i enjoyed my job as a business development agent, i met some great friends. I was given two weeks off over Christmas, however i was ill for the majority of the two weeks with the flu. I spent most of Christmas day

on my own as Graham was working, it was strange being on my own as coming from a big family i am used to big Christmas celebrations But instead i spent the day walking the dog and cooking for when graham arrived home. Christmas day came and went and so did my job. I was now working in a pub dealing with drunken members of the public which i love.

My Mum and Best Friend Kate organised a leaving party so we could say goodbye to our close friends and family, it was an amazing night and was one step further to our trip of a life time.

Friday 6th March, my birthday. Good news all round, not only had Graham bought me the new Manchester United Football Shirt (he is amazing) but he had also booked our flights and surprised me with a new route. Our plans to move to Australia had changed. Graham decided that if we was going to travel half way around the world then we may as well explore other countries. So he also booked flights to Fiji and South East Asia.
