Hello again,

Myself and my good lady friend RoRo found our selfs with a spare 56 hours so we chucked the camping gear in the van, purchased some fule, food, drink and set of on a mini adventure.

I was kinda planning to use the open 1 year tickets we had left over from the eden project. If you ever go there donate the money to charity btw, it gets you a year re-entery and if , like me, your self employed it comes of your taxable earnings as a charitable donation :D

Unfortunatly the van gremlins of doom raised there ugly heads by way of a v noisy cv joint. (the bit that joins the gearbox to the wheel hub). Not wanting to get stranded far far away and unable to get back in time we opted for a nice car park that we had visited before at Branscombe mouth. They alow parking up to 24 hours but no comercial vehicals, tents or awnings. I drive an un sine writen van with no awning so good times. Even better it was winter rates so just £6 for 24 hours. bonus.
On the down side this ment the cafe/bar/pub wasnt open but we were well suplied after a late night visit ot a 24 hour asda on the way out earlyer.

So, we arived just after 11pm and camp was already sorted as its all set up in back of the van. Just had to put up the curtains, fold the passenger seat flat and start cooking. We had a relitivly early night as it was raining and a v long sleep in the next day. Place is just so peacfull. Sound of running water and not much else.

The site has a clean and well stocked toilet block, bins, infared cctv and a public house. A few years ago a tanker washed up there and spat its load all over the beech. Salvage Free For All lasted a full week b4 the cleen up operation started!!!

So, friday, we got some food on the go and went exploring the beech. Found,photoed and filmed a mini mud slide, an assortment of dead animals, some washed up sutff and our food 😊


All in all a very relaxing weekend. Ps, mobile phone reception was almost non existent
