A gothic church completed in the 1400's
Helsingbourg is known for its medieval fortress, stone churches, and well preserved historic homes. we first visited gothic St Mary's stone church, completed in the 1400's. The church is very beautiful with many stained glass windows, a huge pulpit, a massive organ, and lovely ornate chandilers.

Our guide then showed us the "Keep" as she called the medieval fortress. It is very impressive and definitely a Fortress with its stone walls and towers. We also looked at old Karnan Tower with its many steps. We looked out (from the bottom of the tower) over the town of Helsingbourg toward the harbor.

Upon our return to the ship, we enjoyed Kristof's Lecture, ❇Scandinavian Architecture and Design❇. Late in the afternood the ship set sail for Copenhagen.
