The whole town celebrated Orebro Day yesterday (Thurs.). This is a celebration of the town, and the university is very involved in all of the activities. All week there have been preparations, including a BBQ on Wednesday evening where we decorated banners and made up chants to sing. There are a lot of students participating in all of the events.

Thursday started with a picnic breakfast outside of the castle, followed by all of the students marching through the city cheering and competing for the loudest group. After the parade, there were contests between all of the groups at school, including The Internationals. I wish I could say that I had watched all of the activities, but, students were given a discount at many of the shops so the girls and I spent the majority of the day shopping.

The events ended with a huge party at the city convention center at night. There were 1200 people there, with a live band. I believe many of the professors were there and the Dean of Students. Everyone had a great time, probably the best night I have had since arriving here. It is hard to imagine that a school sponsored

Well, I am in early for the night, we leave at 7:00 tomorrow morning for Hamburg, Germany. We are flying out of a small airport a few hours away. We just looked up how to get to the airport by train, hopefully we make it on time. It is always a little difficult taking the trains here, and making sure you are on the right one with the right ticket.

I will be back on Monday evening, and hopefully will have a blog up shortly after about our trip!

Bye!
