Robin & Mia
This would be Robin's girlfriend who I made cheesecake with and whose house I went to. Okay so this just happened but:
I woke up early this morning. I go into the kitchen and do toast for breakfast. Johan comes in, has breakfast, we watch TV. He left to go to school. Well, I'm sitting there watching TV since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were on Oprah. Then, the aiphone rings. (For those that don't know, the aiphone is a phone in our common room. Downstairs, you can ring a bell in each person's room when you come to visit or do the aiphone on each floor.) I didn't answer it. Instead, I walk down to the door and find a man there I don't know. Well, I let him in and then he starts to call my name. I was like, "Uhh yeah?" He says, "You are Michelle?" I said, "Umhm."
So then he says someone told him about me, (and evidently where I live!?!) and that I spoke English well. He asked me if I would help him with his English and that he'd pay me 500 kr. I'm like well... if anything happened, I'd scream and the boys would come running so okay. We walk up, sit down in the kitchen. Hector and Lukas came out, they looked sleepy, and I realized he'd rung the bells in their rooms and woken them up. *sigh*
So, he sits down and then proceeds to explain: He has a favorite singer named Ivan Brehoff. He's a Russian guy, does mostly opera and Russian folk tunes. So he wants to call this fellow at his hotel (found the number on the internet-stalker?) and ask him a question. Then he proceeds to tell me that he wants me to call him since my English is better. I'm already very nervous about this. Then, he explains that he wants me to ask him this: "Recently your name was published in a Dictionary of 500 Famous Gays and Lesbians. Did you know about this?" I was like OMG no. So then I tried to explain to him why he shouldn't ask this. And why he should e-mail the man. He says if he e-mails him, then his company would answer, not him. He wants an answer from him. So, the hotel is in Germany and I don't speak German. So I told him, "Hold on, let me ask Lukas, he speaks German." Thank God Lukas is awake.
I relay the situation while Robin is still in the kitchen with the guy. Lukas looks at me like I'm crazy. "I know, but I can't just tell him to go away. I'm nice." So then the guy comes and opens Lukas' door. Well between the two of us, we convinced to e-mail the fellow and then see what happens because a telephone call wouldn't be the best thing in the world. When he left, Lukas laughed at me and said I now had a Swedish stalker. I hid in his room till the guy left, then came out and locked the hallway door. Johan is going to laugh so hard when I tell him about this. >.<
So what else have I been doing? I went to the movies on Saturday. We saw "Mission Impossible:3" which was pretty good, though I liked the second one better. Ving Rhames was still there and he's great. We had a BBQ too and Lukas made me sausage or grillkorv in Swedish. I had some pancakes too with watermelon. Good job on that-thanks Lukas for feeding me. Hmm what else... I've been working at the middle school almost everyday and I have to write two papers since I don't have any exams.
I retook my International Business Exam since I missed it by a few points last time. Almost everyone failed so it wasn't a big deal. I think I passed this time, though, so here's hoping. I studied hard.
Johan and I went downtown. He got his hair cut, which was interesting to watch. A whole lot of it was on the floor. It reminded me of when I got my hair cut. There was enough on the floor to make two good wigs at least. So I can actually see his head now, which is nice. Then, we went to Smedjan and he found some books for his brother since it was his birthday. Then, we split up. He goes into the gadget store and I looked at the makeup. He comes up behind me, scares me to death (which he's getting good at), and we wander about, looking at makeup. Then, we leave, and I mutter in the car- "I need to go buy some underwear. Well, I don't need to, but I want to." He looks at me. "Do you really? We can go to Storheden." "Well yeah okay." So then we go over there to H&M.
He heads into the man clothes, and I head for the ladies' underwear. Nearly all the panties were for young teenagers or girls with really small butts. Then, the bras had US sizes, thank God. However, they only go up to 36 and I didn't see any Ds. So...I tried some on just to see. No go. Too small and they were all push ups. So, I walk over there, look up at him (everyone's taller than me here), and say, "Problem."
He looks down at me, notices the lack of underwear in my hands, and says, "What?"
"They're not big enough."
"What?"
I explain the size problem.
"Well did you try them on?"
"Yes."
"So are we done?"
"Well..." I wander off to go look at pants. He follows. He found some things he likes, and will come back to get them later. So I ended up with two new pairs of pants, which was nice.
