Today we explored Cadiz, Spain. This is where Christopher Columbus set sail on several of his voyages. It is so much more than we expected. It is a fairly large city and very clean. And the big plus is it has wonderful beaches. The weather is moderate year round. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and were pleasantly surprised with our visit to this port city. This is a place we could return to someday.

We are ready to head out. Our first transatlantic cruise leaves Fort Lauderdale on April 12. After 11 days we disembark in Malaga, Spain and begin our travels around Europe. This is our first time there and we are anticipating with excitement all the new people, places and things we will be experiencing.
