Piano players rock the world.
=D On Friday, we visited three museums in Valencia.
First, we went to the Museum of Sciences. There were a lot of hands-on activities, and I discovered I have an Egyptian foot, like 49% of the population. Also, we were told by a worker of the museum to jump in on a quick presentation for a gift and free food. So, naturally, when the words "free" and "food" occur in the same sentence togeter, we college students were all for it. So...we joined the presentation....with about 50 elementary school kids. And we happened to walk in the back with about 2 minutes of the presentation left. It was a Dannon yogurt presentation, of all things! Haha! Oh well, we got a stuffed Dannon Dino to carry around! No food, sadly, but we were pretty excited about our new dino puppets.
Next, we headed to the L'Oceanografic, the aquarium of Valencia. I'd heard great things about it. We really enjoyed seeing all of the animals, and I got to see a dolphin show for the first time. I loved the dolphins.
Finally, at the end of the day, we finished our trek at the IMAX theater at the L'Hemispheric, where
we watched "The Mystery of the Nile". Oddly, we were able to choose our language (yes!), but it was actually an American movie to begin with. It was fascinating. (Daniel, it made me think of you because they showed a map, and it showed Jordan on it. =D )
A long day of museum visits, but it would have been a shame to stay in Valencia for a month and a half and not see what's right in our backyard!
