Stella About to Preform
Stella put on a gymnastic display. Well here I am in Spain. I did say that I would do a blog more often but time ran away from me. We have now got into a sort of routine of heading to the beach late morning to get our swimming and tanning, done then we seem to have got into the habit of heading of to have a late lunch, then back home to the pool for a really relaxing time. I'm quite proud of myself as I have only had one afternoon sleep but it is easy to dose in the sun. Dinner is often a restaurant or some times a b'que or such at home. Lilly was very good about her ankle for the first few days but soon got sick of not being able to do all that she wanted. So, the plasters came off and she was tender for a little while but all seems to be spot on now. Chris is teaching her to surf and last night was the first time that she managed to stand up. She made it right into the beach and was very pleased with her self. The waves are not big and just right for a youngster
While Lilly Hobbled.
Lilly while still using crutches. to learn on. Within 10 to 20 minutes drive there are so many beaches and the one down the road is a few minutes walk. On Saturday and Sunday they were packed with people but during the week it is not to bad. One of our favorites is 10 minutes drive away at Santa Pola which has a restaurant on the beach which is good for lunch. So, lots of hot days and lots of swimming. We went to a market in Santa Pola the other day were Di and Hege bought shoes and the kids came away with a couple of toys. I got some sandals for $20NZ. Things are so cheap and the cost of living with most food is very good. We have been drinking a white wine that costs about $7NZ which is pretty good and beer is about 2.50NZ a pint. Time just drifts along and Di is adjusting to her retirement rather well. Hope every one is well and fine. Pip/Rod
