Spanish Golf holidays at the Comfortable golf apartment

We spent our last summer holidays at Twitbed Alicante, a nice and cozy apartment at the golf course La Marquesa in Ciudad Quesada, a district of the town Rojales, which is only 30 minutes from the airport Alicante. The apartment is comfortably furnished, so we didn’t have to bring towels or bed sheets and could fly there from Bristol with Ryanair, because we didn’t have that much luggage. Easyjet also flies there, which is great: you don’t have to spend a lot for getting there, so you have got more to spend on your actual holidays .

At the Airport in Alicante we hired a car at Victoriacars, it is just easier to get around and get to the beach. The beach of La Marina is only about five minutes by car, so after playing golf in the mornings we went to relax at the beach, walked in the pine forest and had a drink at Costa21, a small bar at the beach, owned by a German couple and their friend.

In the evenings we usually got back home and cooled down in the swimming pool next to the apartment. Sometimes I cooked in the small but well equipped kitchen and we had dinner on the terrace, sitting in the mild breeze, or we went to one of the close by restaurants and enjoyed a variety of different cuisines.

One day we went to the Fuentes del Algar, a very scenic waterfall, about an hour drive away. You have to pay a small fee to park and enter the public bath there, but then you can walk along the river and swim in its pools. There are toilets, a bar and a restaurant as well as picnic areas. It is a great for a romantic get-away and it’s also a great scene for your holiday photos. Our friends really envied us!

I was stunned to discover that in the nearby clubhouse there are two full-size snooker tables! Now that really made for a great holiday. I am sure to visit again!
