Most times when we stop somewhere we never know how long it will be for, most times this is a result of waiting for weather and sometimes it’s because we thoroughly enjoy the place. A few views from the site of the fort on top of the hill in Vigo. They show the numerous oyster farms in the ria, the active port, the older style architecture as well as the modern city.

In Bueu all the fishing boats were in port as it was a Galician public holiday. These are the type used to go out to the mussel farms. The cranes are needed to raise up the long, heavy lines loaded with mussels. They also do much of the sorting on the boats and then bring them in to market.

The towns we have visited always appear very clear of litter – they recycle widely here, but also have many street cleaners working to help with keeping it clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay in Cangas.

The last night we were in Cangas we took a walk along the boardwalk for our last views of the Ria de Vigo and the Cangas beach. It has been a wonderful place to stay for a few weeks.

As you can see we have traveled from the southern side of Portugal and are getting closer to the north coast of Spain.

When I read your comment I get to know, that there are many parts of Europe, you know much better than me. Soon you will pass Bilbao. This is the town, where the daughter in law of the Luedke, our friends (you will meet again, when you will visit us )was raised. Love from Angelika
