A Typical Home

This is a typical house design – the living area is upstairs and the storage area is on the ground floor. Many of them we could see were filled with fish traps and nets. Note the dormer design as well.

We chuckled when we saw the street lights attached to the old grain storage facilities called Horreos. A mix of the old and the new.

We had a great pot luck dinner while in Camarinas made up of Canadians, British, Germans, French (from Brittany) - what a great spread we had!

The making of lace is quite complex with the many bobbins being quickly moved by hand.
