Started walking by 8am ....the host was pretty keen to get us out.....had a quick breakfast and moved on.....was drizzling rain but very calm...nice change always seems to be a bit of wind....Rosie Antony and Craig were behind us most of the way untill we stopped for a coffee....The Bar had bacon and eggs in a fresh roll...couldn't resist...so endulged.....Jacqui went to the toilet and came back ...told me to sit on the side cause the seat will bite...It did there was a crack in the seat....I dont think there are to many rules and regulations on the size of the toilets...some of the rooms are so small that I have to sit side ways cause there isn't enough room in front to put my legs.....Didn't warn the next girl going in she came out complaining cause the toilet seat bit her.....
Rosie and Antony left before us and Craig hung around a bit longer.
It was drizzling when we left but didn't put our rain coats on....sometimes its nice just walking in the drizzle
We met Antony talking to Susan in a shelter eating a bread roll. Rosie has moved on faster.....Think Antony had a soft spot
for Rosie...Aahh love on the camino...walks in and out of one's life.....We arrived at a small town and tried to find some where to sit to have some lunch...we had food just wanted a seat. Passed a local man standing outside his house with some unusual shoes on made of wood.....apparently made for walking through water and mud....we stopped and took a photo next thing his wife came out and was happy to pose for a shot...she went inside and came out with a warm churros (donut)....not bad....
We sat against a brick wall facing a vacant block....It was drizzling rain so we put one raincoat on the ground sat on that and put the other over us and ate yogurt ,bread, cheese and fruit...bloody cold tho....
Finished that packed up and struggled to get up...get a bit stiff sitting down....Put our raincoats on cause the drizzle was getting heavier. Nature called and there weren't any trees around so I found a very tall brick wall so decided that will do.....One very tall wall standing by its self will only hide me from one direction...Felt sorry for the farmers behind me and the walker walking towards me....oh well
......
Because the weather is always cold and windy my nose is constantly running and the tissues end up just as wet as my nose......the little things mean so much walking the camino.....to walk along and find a decent bush when nature calls and to have a dry tissue to blow my nose.....what more do I need
The rest of the day was walking in drizzle and the country side is quite flat and boring ...the ipod comes out to entertain and help me along the way
We found a private albergue to stay in that night.....Really nice two single beds in a room....We ate in their restuarant had a rice soup and a proper steak and chips and fresh strawberries and yoghurt and of cause a bottle of wine...got quite use to that....
Couldn't get the telly tuned into english speaking so listened to the radio throught the telly and wrote my journal ....went to bed by 10.30...a late night...
