basque country to be exact. we hiked over the pyrenees today, covering approx. 30km in 7 and 1/2 hrs.
I ended up with a bloody toe b/c of my toe nail rubbing up against my other toe, and we are very tired but other than that the hike went great. we saw nature at its finest, from wild horses grazing, to sheep on the mountainside to snow covered peaks and mountains everywhere we looked. it was taxing, but worth every minute. we have showered, eaten dinner and are about to sleep with 139 of our closet friends in this pilgrim albergue (sort of a hostel, but only for pilgrims walking the Camino).
good night(or good afternoon in the US)
we may be in Pamplona tommorrow, or we will be close by
hopefully katie will update next and be more detailed, but after getting no sleep on the flight to Paris, staying up about 32 hours straight whilst going on a whirlwind tour of Paris in 12 hours, and then taking a herky-jerky night train last night to St. Jean Pied de Port, I am BEAT.
buenos noches
tim(and katie)

Howdy!
Sounds like fun already! Hope the toe heals up quickly as you don't need a festering toe on a pilgrimage...BTW, our due date is Jan 6, 2010. It is no longer "hush-hush" and we're very excited. I'm cleaning out a ton of stuff from the house, will save old cycling stuff for you to have if you want and anything you don't want will go to good will... Best Wishes for a peaceful and fun filled journey... Buddy
