Read's Hotel

Side note about Read's Hotel where we are staying. It is owned by a very nice British family who found an a 500 year old neglected estate in 1989 while at their vacation home in Mallorca. They purchase it and spent seven years restoring it to its current splendor. The owner said thank goodness he didn't know what he was getting into when he started this venture he thought it would take him 2 years at most. He used to be a lawyer in London, he found that the responsibility of owning a hotel is even more than a lawyer, because now he feels responsible for everyone who visits Read's enjoying their holiday to the utmost.
They really make you feel at home here, so much so that we have had dinner here every night and enjoyed it every single night. They have several dogs and a cat that you see around the property all day. Mr. Brown is my favorite a little dog that they decided to name Mr. Brown so it would sound like they were calling after a guest when they say his name.

Dimitri, in the dining room is always so nice to us even when we request the Bistro menu every night. Last night he said it is his choice too!
