On Friday, after leaving Toledo, we headed further south to Andalucia, first stopping at Consuegra to see the windmills which according to the legend of Don Quixote he fought thinking they were giants. We then spent 2 days in Cordoba in sweltering heat (36 C in the shade), checking out the Cathedral, Alcazar and mediaeval town. Then it was 2 days in Grenada, still very hot, with a rest day and a day at the Alhambra palace and gardens.
