Today is our one full day to explore the charming city of Malaga. Malaga is a port city along Spain's Costa del Sol. It is a beautiful city with amazing architecture and picturesque walking streets. We enjoyed a delicious morning coffee with churros and then wandered through a covered market area and then into the lovely streets for a few hours before returning to our hotel to escape the heat for a bit.

In the afternoon we visited the 11th century Alcazaba of Malaga (Moorish Fortress) which is the mightiest and most extensive in all of Spain. It was lovely to explore and reminded us a lot of the Alhambra in Granada. The fortress also offered great views of the city.

Malaga is the birthplace of Pablo Picasso so late in the afternoon we toured the Picasso museum here. After viewing his different styles of art throughout his life time we had a better understanding of his art.

In the evening we enjoyed dinner at a nice outside cafe.
