As I was about to leave the room for sightseeing, the girl opposite my bed asked if I wanted to spend the day with her and two other single travellers that she had just met. I said yes. There was Mariah (Dutch), Maeve (Irish) and Carlos (Mexican). Our first stop was the market to find food. Then Mariah, Carlos and I went to do some sightseeing, while Maeve went to find a washing machine. We saw a section of an old Roman wall dating back 15AD. Then went to the history museum of Ljublana. Where they have the only Egyptain mummy in Slovenia.
We then met Maeve at the square, near the Triple Bridge, under is the Ljubljanica River. We caught the train to the castle at the top of the hill- such a tourist thing to do! We had a guided tour of the castle and the guy was really informative and not too boring. Climbed to the top of a tower for a great view of the city.
Caught the train back into town and had a cold shower and then we went out for dinner to a pizzeria on the edge of the canal and we made
