Amazing Russian food, for the Royalty... Arrival May 16. Arrival to Moscow was as usual a real adventure complete with getting the fountain pens to work for us in getting upgraded seats on UA for a full comfortable flight. Much needed 2 hour rest to get to the next adventure with our local host, the Russian Circus. Under a deluge rain we made it to an amazing Russian restaurant “Zhar Ptiza” (Firebird) and then to a wrong circus… we dashed to the other one out of town, to a children’s show with lots of moth-eaten bears and amazing dancing seals. We guess that fish is cheaper here than honey… Every time the trapeze acrobats began to swing, we went into a sleeping trance… but made it happily back to the hotel, followed by 2 great sunny days. Off to Novosibirsk...
