I'm on the road again. Back to the Balkans again. This time to discover some new places and reconnect with some old. It's been 2 years since my last bike trip in the Baltics. No traversing the countryside with my brown, battered Giant. No schlepping of poor bicycle from one hemisphere to the other. Traditional costume for the traditional Kirchweih festival. Note each skirt is at least three or four metres of starched and pleated cotton. There are around 7 skirts that form part of this ensemble. The shirt too is starched beyond belief. Movements are robotic in this - you can't move your arms.
