Today began as a relatively slow day. A man from one of the local newspapers came in to do an article on Grandpa. The interview lasted about two hours. After the interview, we had a little bit of time to begin packing up and then we headed off to Aunt Maria’s. (There are a lot of Maria’s in our family....and it’s hard to keep track of which is which!). This Aunt Maria is Bolek’s other daughter. She and Uncle Henryk have 3 daughters who each have daughters of their own! A lot of girls in one family! Beata and Mateusz have Iza who is 5. Justyna and Marcin have Veronika who is 6 months old and Ewelina and Jakub have Oliwia who is just 5 weeks old! The party was a wonderful success. It was great fun to have more cousins close to my age and Iza spent a lot of the time trying to teach me how to speak Polish. We brought gifts for all of them and Iza was very pleased with her princess attire and dolls. At only 5 years old she has already taken a year of English and can say many things! She won everyone’s hearts
when my grandfather walked in and she went up to him and said (in English), “Hello. I love you!” We also took one more large family picture and had more dancing, singing and, of course, eating! It was a wonderful night!!
