At the match in Frankfort
We learned that...

* Everyone has the same cheers and patriotic songs. People just translate them into their own language, except everyone uses "Olé, Olé, Olé"

* Either there are no female English football fans or they are just too afraid to go to the match. There were like 3 women in the whole stadium, and one of them was Chris.

* We came all the way to Germany to drink American Budweiser since they are an official sponsor of the World Cup

* Frankfurt apple wine is not cider, and it's really gross.

* German Adi Dassler (get it, Adi-Das) invented the football cleat

* The World Cup logo is dumb, but not as dumb as the slogan "A Time to Make Friends"

* Spanish is the best language in which to watch football on TV

* Brazil jerseys are like Yankees hats - don´t jump on the bandwagon.

* French women do not like being called sluts while riding the metro.

* If you are a member of a band in Paris, and you don't have a gig on June 21, give up now.

* Spain is
HollandHollandHolland

The bar where we watched part of the Holland match
a land of very bad haircuts. The mullet is alive and well, and furthermore, it has been crossed with the mohawk.

* Fire codes and safety standards are a bit more relaxed in Spain.

* People in Amsterdam really do slather their fries in mayonaise, you can get a glass of beer at the movies, and it is called a Le Royale with Cheese

* Germans and Brits still don´t like each other

* Dresden is the most underrated city in Europe

* Belgium takes longer than two hours to see

* Italy whines and dives more than any other World Cup team

* Spain really is a super late-night place
