A coach took us the 15k to the capital of Lithunia, Vilnius, for a visit. The guide we had in the morning was very proud of her city and her Country’s independence achieved in 1989. She showed us some of the many Catholic and Russion Orthodox churches in the Old Town and explained about the large Jewish community which lived in the City prior to WW2.

After an excellent lunch we ascended the nearby Gediminas Hill by funicular and had excellent views over the city from the top of the tower on its summit.
