Walked to Termini to catch my train to Naples. A few hours later I arrived at Naples. Then caught the local train to my hostel at Portici, about 10 minutes from Naples. The housing here is very different to the rest of what I have seen of Italy- not as nice. I got off at my station and walked downhill to the hostel. The town was dead, no-one was about, they are either on holiday or having an afternoon nap. Checked into the hostel, this place is the cheapest place I have ever stayed, was hoping that it wasn't going to be to bad. It was really nice, clean and a great location. Much better than staying in dodgy Naples. Decided to check out the beach that is only a 5 minute walk away. Quite disappointing. Lots of rocks and Italians in their speedos cooking in the sun. Sat for a while and read my book. Spent the evening catching up on American TV shows.
