A day in Cagliari walking around the narrow streets of Castello, the walled quarter, where we climbed one of its defensive towers, viewed the Cathedral and visited the National Archaeological Museum which houses the best finds from the Nuraghic sites. We also went to the other central areas, visited several churches and enjoyed the city’s impressive Botanical Gardens.
In the evening we joined a crowd of boisterous locals enjoying a meal in one of the Trattoria in the Marina District.
