Amalfi and Rome Arriving in the big old Italian boot from Greece proved to be a long day. It started with walk, bus, ferry, bus, walk, train, walk, train, train, collapse! And arriving at Naples (Naplio) late at night with no booked accommodation is pretty much a don’t in the guidebooks. Wow!
Such beautiful photos! Jane, you're looking really good. Sorry to hear you were sick for three days. Glad you're much better now. You're both looking quite thin! Hope you're eating lots of nutritious food. xxx K

Busy Rome
So glad you were feeling better for Rome Jane, what a lot to look at! You did well, photos, descriptions, information, it's all there. Better watch out if you go to France, Ange's fans will be pestering you for a peep at the twins! Lots of love from Mum.xx

Oh the memories
I'm so impressed at what you have managed to achieve in such short time periods. You are brave driving the length of the Amalfi Coast - we only drove to Praiano (just past Positano) but you have managed to see so much more by not taking the bus. Inspired choice to arrive at Pompeii late - tour bus customers don't last the distance. These photos are just stunning. I love the angles on Positano and the Sistine Chapel. You were fortunate not to have guards stopping you taking photos. Simon and Nick said they couldn't but we didn't have an issue.

No 'scaffoldi'
Nice to see the Spanish steps without the activities of the 'scaffoldi' that you see everywhere at the old and 'being restored' sites. Nothing more disappointing than rolling up to a supposedly stunning site to see it covered in scaffolding.

Scaffolding
Yes we really thought it was following us. There was scaffolding at athens, rome, corinth, venice...angkor wat...so frustrating!
