11 October 2018 When we were last in Umbria in 2018 we were at the end of an extended Italian trip and couldn’t visit as many of the attractive hill towns as we would have wished. We started to put this right today by driving to the camperstop in Spello. We got there soon after lunch but unfortunately soon afterwards a light rain started. Undeterred, we climbed up through the narrow streets to a view point at the top of the town but due to the weather couldn’t properly see the surrounding countryside. On the way down at one of the bars we thoroughly enjoyed olive oil soaked bruschetta accompanying a glass of the local wine.
