Bus No. 4

After having our breakfast on the terrace overlooking Florence, we caught the No. 4 bus down to the city. Lynn and Mike have pre-purchased tickets for a number of museums. Ruth would join them at the Gallery of the Academy to gawk at David. Ruth and I strolled the city taking in a couple gardens at Palazzo Pitti (the Bardini garden was the better, but not a botanical garden that we typically look for), getting our daily gelato and generally relaxing back at Bencista. Lynn and Mike came back physically exhausted but energized by all they were able to take in. In the evening we went in to Fiesole for dinner that was recommended as the best food in town...it was. Make and the waiter carried on an ongoing conversation regarding calcio. News to me but what they call soccer. We could see the stadium lights below from the restaurant.
