The longest and hardest ride of the trip was today as we rode from Siena to Volterra. Roughly 90 km and 4 MAJOR climbs, the last into the old city of Volterra. I don't even want to think about that climb (which came with a soul-crushing headwind) until I post the pictures. And right now I'm writing from the slowest computer still in existence, so I'm not going to elaborate for the moment. Suffice it to say that the massage this evening was heaven.
