We left Florence Sunday am and drove an hour and a half to San Gimignano. (Great job driving, Russ!). Such a beautiful walled hill city from the Middle Ages. We spent the day walking the beautiful old cobblestone streets and arrived at our Boutique hotel La Collegiata just before dinner. La Collegiata was originally a Monastery built in 1586. It has 18 unique rooms all with an incredible views. Our room looks directly at the city about 2 miles away. The views of the hills filled with vineyards and olives is breathtaking. Stephano is the proprietor and has a team of people caring for the property both inside and out. Our dinner was fantastic as we dined on the outdoor patio looking at the beautiful city lit up at night. Monday was a relaxing day filled with pool time, shopping, and finished with an outstanding wine tasting tour. We loved the Super Tuscan and Brunello wines. “ Wine is constant proof that god loves us and loves to see us happy.”- Benjamin Franklin
