Our final big drive to Tuscany, with an overnight stay in Genoa, and a lunch time stopover in Monaco.
Our accommodation, on the working vineyard of Quercecchio about 10km from Montalcino, provided a great base to tour Tuscany. Pisa, Siena, and Montalcino itself provided the best food and wine of the trip.
Apart from the patissieieres and maybe the huge variety of produce in France, Italy's food , and coffee, is just simpler, cheaper, and tastier. Great food everywhere, especially for the kids, pizza, pasta, and loads of fantastic Gelato.
