quick update

very tired so i'm going to only do a quick update!
classes have been going great! in ceramics i have so far made a bowl, a coffee cream holder, and i just finished the cutest teapot today! i haven't painted anything yet but we are going to do that soon. i really like ceramics and am so glad i took the class! all the girls are really nice (there are only 8 of us) and it is very relaxing to have in the afternoons. i will be posting some pictures on facebook too with my work in all of its stages. as for photography, i love it! it is very difficult and a LOT more work than i ever thought, but very enjoyable at the same time. we went to the central market last week to take pictures and we have been working on developing those this week, choosing our favorites, enlarging them... etc. it is a long process but i felt like i got a few good photos that i am proud of. it is so rewarding to see your final image!

other than that, i have been enjoying florence as much as ever. hearing people speaking italian and constantly experiencing a language barrier is strangely normal to me now. it is starting to feel like home!

this weekend i am going with amber, callie, and leslie to cinque terre finally! we will be there all weekend, hiking and laying out on the beach in the afternoons. so very excited!
