Rome is a walking city. Around each corner is a new surprise--a bit of ruins, a medieval apartment, a Bernini statue or church--and hot, sweet, creamy cappuccino in every Bar. It's been cool and cloudy each day. Yesterday it was rainy and cold. This is better than hot, hot, hot. As a high and dry Colorado girl, the humidity makes the air feel hotter and colder than I'm used to. Love the feel of the air on my skin.
Love the little working shops in Centro Storico--antiques, rugs, lamps, art. Often you will see craftsmen--usually men--working on old rugs, furniture, painting.
Today off to a photography museum in Trastevere, not far from our apartment. The 2013 World Press photos are there.
