My Last Day in Italy

I woke up this morning a little bit in disbelief. I only had one day left out of my four weeks in Italy. I still had a few things that I absolutely wanted to see so after a good breakfast I headed out. The first stop would be the Terme de Caracalla. Travelling ... is there anything better? Okay so getting through airport security is a hassle and you practically need a university degree just to figure out what you can and cannot bring in your carry-on. That aside, the feeling of seeing or experiencing something new cannot be beat. So far, I have been very fortunate to be able to carry out this dream of mine ... and hopefully there are many more trips to come in my future!... full info

Very powerful piece ... the artist used this purple and white marble that almost makes it look cadaver-like

Actually they were quadrplets ... there were four statues like this

Statue of Romulus and Remus being suckled by a she-wolf. It is part of the legend of how Rome was founded.
