After climbing all those steps, I stayed up top and enjoyed my view of Firenze
I left London yesterday after some very touristy very busy days. I got to see all the things I wanted, the Big Ben and parliment buildings, the Tate Modern art gallery, Shakespeares Globe theatre, the London Eye, and most exciting of all the Victoria and Albert museum. They had everything at that last one, beautiful buildings, statues, a David replica, wrought iron fencing, fancy keys, Tippos Tiger (wooden lifesized tiger that is sinking its teeth into a wooden man, with a crank that plays music and sounds like knawing and chewing), and haute couture dresses.
The underground, or the tube, was still my favorite part of London. MIND THE GAP!
Third favorite was seeing Chicago in the West End, though it was strange hearing the Brit accents coming through. And how Mary Sunshine was a man.

Today I am off to Florence, or Firenze for a few days before returning to Roma.

In Europe, people just hang out together in public on slanted public areas outside of museums eating paninis and drinking beer.

This statue, next to David, has the best butt in Firenze.

For anyone who has made fun of my long toes, this is for you: ALL the statues have long toes, making mine statuesque. So there.

Andrea! It sounds like you're having so much fun! I went to church tonight and thought about you the whole time! I'm sure you'll be going to a lot of churches in Europe as well! It's too bad you can't stay in Roma for longer right now but trust me it is worth the wait! Love you to pieces, Laura <3

Firenze
How's Firenze? Anyplace with the word fire in it must be hot! Do you think it's a good place to "get off the bus and buy a villa"? Check into the schools while there and see if they need teachers. Love, Mom

Was great seeing you again
Hey Andrea. Was fun seeing you again, even if it was a bit wierd for both of us. Have a good trip through Europe. I will be jealous the whole time. As soon as you left England you took the sunny weather with you and I've been getting soaked since leaving the airport! See you in another 5 years... :P

wow... you certainly did a whirlwind tour of London...but you will be back so if there's anyone (er...anyTHING) you missed out on, you can see it then. Are you flying to Italia? What is the weather like? Are you having to lug your pack everywhere you go? And so Dan was your travel buddy for England? How are you finding the people? Are they warm and friendly???? Things are looking promising ... I may have a job working for Eddie Bauer!?! Miss you lotsa!
