During our fall break we went to Italy.. first Rome, then Naples and Pompeii. It was so warm there and a good experience, very different from England.

The Pantheon
Originally built as a temple to the gods of Rome. It is the oldest standing domed structure in Rome. It has an Oculus (Latin word for eye) at its an open circle at the top of the dome, allowing the Pantheon to be open to weather, rain comes right through and leaves through drains on the floor. It was used as a sundial in ancient Rome.
