Taken by another tourist...the only people you can trust with your camera!
Let me paint a picture for you. After a LONG day of travel, with a grumpy Greg by your side, you manage to make it to Rome, carrying heavy backpacks, in the dead of night. You reach your hotel to find...NO ONE THERE. annoying? I agree!! and yet, with just my luck, this is exactly what happened upon our arrival in rome. No matter, after a few frustrating minutes trying to contact the Hotel owner, Greg and I wandered aimlessly down the street and stumbled across another hotel. For 5 euros more, we bought ourselves rest and a room.

Rome: Busy, crowded and almost killed by various smart cars, vespas, and crazy bikers. But our first day was a success! Seeing a record number of things:

Colosseum
Trevi Fountain
The Roman Forum
The Arch of Constantine
The Spanish Steps
The Column of Trajan
The (AWESOME) St. Teresa in Ecstacy
The Pantheon

...All in one tiring but awesome day.

HOWEVER. things to note. Rome hates Michelle. Why?? well lets make another list of the things that happened to Michelle while in Rome.

No Hotel
Glass thrown at eye
Eye infection (not related)
Tripping in the colosseum
Tripping
St TeresaSt TeresaSt Teresa

A sculpture I have wanted to see since High School.
in the Street
Tripping pretty much everywhere
Sore feet
Eye drops that would take an engineering PhD to figure out. Seriously. Who mixes their own pharmacologicals? EUROPEANS. Apparently.

The next day we managed to see the Vatican, St. Peters is Amazing. And the Museums were cool, if not forcibly rushed by annoying crowds. The Sistine Chapel was cool, but the hundreds of screaming tourists, with guards shushing you every 2 seconds kinda ruins the experience. But all in all, rome is cool.

That is all.
