sunrise sorrento
Good morning, or should i say Bon-journo we got up to see the sun rise this morning, and had scrambled eggs for breakfast with fried bread as there is no toaster Delicio !!

today we have a car with driver to take us around the amalfi coast and then to pompei 250 euro for 9 hrs a fair bit of money but its just the 2 of us in the car and we can stop and start wherever we want to.

we drove over the hill from Sorrento to the coast on the other side of the peninsula and stopped a few tomes for pictures before getting to Positano a small town on the edge of the cliffs the driver called it a vertical town we walked down heaps of steps (the locals must be fit) to a beach at the bottom with dark brown sand (we seriously undervalue our white soft sandy beaches in Australia) there are heaps of boats and you can hire Motor boats to drive yourself for about 40 euros for 1 hour but we just had some coffee and cake and looked in the shops, we stayed her for about an hour and when

Amalfi coast
we got back to the top there was a fiat 500 club picnic so they were everywhere lucky they are small

the roads are narrow and windy here and the cliff is up one side and down the other and theres not many places you can stop so having someone else driving was great.

we continued along the coast to Amalfi from which the coast gets its name this town is not as steep and has more beach so we went and got our feet we before looking around town again for about an hour and bought some lemonchelo a lemon flavoured liqueur in a nice bottle.

Along the coast a bit more and then up the steep rd to Ravello where you get amazing veiws over the coast, we had a packed lunch here in the main square of town there is heaps of pottery here from the tiniest ornament to huge out door table tops and chairs but we didnt buy any (it seems the most beautiful things in Italy are fragile.

from here we went to Pompei and spent 2 hours looking around The area is massive and there is so much to
