backpacker style.... We decided on a backpacker tour - full of australian's and kiwi's.....

head out to Galway Town via a monastic settlement and the bog of Allen... we had a night out in Galway watched the international rules game (not that exciting really..) and went to a bar and listened to live music.

Next day we headed down to Killarney in Kerry via The Burren in County Clare, bit bleak and grey but at least no rain. We stopped off at the Cliffs of Moher, where some freaky people insisted on hanging off the edge of the cliff.

Again that night we went out and saw a couple of live bands singing irish music.

At 8am the next morning we were up and going around Killarney National Park on a horse and cart.. We headed back to Dublin via Blarney Castle, (I did not want to kiss the Balrney stone - bit unhygenic and too high up for me) and a motorway....... to arrive home late and tired, all in all was a good trip!

This idiot was literally hanging off the top of the cliffs! There are no ledges on the cliff - it's a sheer drop - so if the grass gave way he would have fallen a couple of hundred metres into the sea...

We had to get up at 7:30am after getting to sleep at 4:00am. Needless to say, I was not amused. Luckily the scenery in the national park almost made me forget how tired I was!
