Introducing traditional Irish music Yesterday evening we had a great Irish music and dance evening at the language school. Two musicians, playing the fiddle, tin whistle, flute, bodhram and spoons, introduced us to the traditional Irish music. The students were even invited to participate playing the spoons. Then two young ladies showed us traditional Irish dancing. Their tap dancing was very powerful and energetic. Then they taught the students some dance steps. It was really great fun although there was too little space for all students and the steps were quite difficult to follow.
After this fascinating and interesting experience we, the teachers, went to the Crane, a typical Irish pub where we could enjoy some more live traditional music over a pint of Guinness. What would we do without this great liquid food. Unfortunately the students can't share this experience with us, because they are a bit too young. The Irish are very strict, and only people older than 18 cannot enter a pub and have a drink there
Now it's another great day. The weather doesn't look so bad at the moment. The students are in class. In the afternoon they will have a treasure hunt round the town to learn
