London to Sydney in 98 days!

Welcome to my Travel Blog

I do hope you will enjoy following our adventures from London to Sydney.

There are 24 intrepid explorers in the group with me leading the way & Martinis our Latvian driver from London to Iran in a comfortable 52 seater Mercedes coach!

We set off from Cleopatra's Needle on the Thames Embankment a week ago on the 26th September.

In the first week we have visited:
Bruges in Belgium where we explored the city on bicycle, ate mussels with chips, chocolate & drank beer;
Heidelberg in Germany on the banks of the Neckar River where we walked up to the castle, had photos taken with the Heidelberg monkey, ate bratwurst & drank beer;
Prague in the Czech Republic where we took the tram into the city to explore the old town on foot, climbed the astonomical clock tower, walked across Charles Bridge, celebrated our first of many birthdays & drank more beer!
Vienna in Austria with its beautiful buildings, watched the Lippizaner horses at the Spanish Riding School being exercised, visited the opera house & ate apfel strudel & sachertorte & drank coffee!
Budapest in Hungary on the banks of the Danube where we chilled out in the Gellert Spa, the best spa in the city, explored Castle Hill, ate Hungarian goulash with dumplings & drank more beer!
