Lake Balaton

Woke up to a cloudy sky but still pretty hot. We were invited over to our Austrian neighbours to show as a snake slithering it was along the ground, just the ticket, we were on high alert of snakes during the day. The sun came out with intense heat, and we dipped in the lake, matt was kindly told he could borrow a windsurfer from a Hungarian couple staying at the campsite, and he pottered around the lake, then later trying his hand at fishing. We have been pretty inundated with campers coming up to the van and steering at the number plates and asking us were are from, word got around camp as a lot of people came up to us and started talking about NZ . The Hungarian man who’s windsurfer matt is using shouts across to us “what time is it in NZ “the campers around early wait our answer. Had a chilled day , later that evening , we had a thunder and lighting storm over the lake with severe wind and rain , Pretty amazing it took about a couple of hours to die down, sleep at last.
