Arrived Igoumenitsa on ferry from Bari. Whimped out of last 111Km to Brindisi. Ghastly crossing inspite millpond Adriatic. Lights on all night and seat worse than RyanAir Cattleclass.

Day off arsing about.

Taking off for Istambul via Thessalonica tomorrow. Meeting up with Lin on the 20th.

There, that's how dull a bike blog can get.

Hope to come up with more scintillating stuff in the next few weeks.

Regards,

Nick - sleeping (or more accurately not sleeping) on the deck of a ferry is something we did about 43 years ago. Consider treating yourself to a bed occasionally. By the way - you scored a mention in an article by John Chapman - published this month in a most important magazine called "Sky Sailor" - of the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia . You met Chappo at campsite in Doussard before I arrived. So don't forget to wave at any paragliders you come across - they'll be looking out for you. By the way - not too late to get a Spot 2 tracker - satellite tracker that also acts as alarm if needed. Not too costly for a man of your means - and Lin would be able to see your progress on her computer in real time. We paragliders who venture cross country consider them an essential safety tool. Keep well and keep blogging. Love from the Melbourne branch. Michael
