Across the caldera from Santorini is the tiny island of Thirassia. Its quiet, the tourists arrive by boat in the late morning and leave mid-afternoon with full bellies and memory cards. We had the pleasure of sticking around on this island after all the tourists left. Julie and I stayed with Jimmy at Zaccharo rooms for rent. Jimmy and his wife Zaccharia have about 10 rooms up on the top of the hill over-looking the caldera. It was an incredibly peaceful place Complete with the best macaroni and local island sheeps cheese anyone has ever had. Yum
