The pooness that was crere
Up we got this am bright and early to wander round Crete in the am. We had been told not to expect too much and not much is what we saw! The day didn’t help as it was grey and once again very windy but Crete was not the most amazing place we’ve been to! At all!! Old and a bit scungy! But El did go to the Fish Doctor and had lil fish eat her dead skin! It was awesome to watch and felt really weird apparentl¬y! I couldn’t do it cos I am way way too ticklish! So we hung out in Cretet for an hour or so, saw about all there was to see and headed back to the boat.

Another amazing lunch as always on board, some sitting in the crazy wind, playing cards – a chilled out arvo as always. Then we clothed up and prepared ourselves for the most exertion of the week – our Sailing and Volcano tour of Santorini.

We got off the boat at about 4.30 and got put on a lil pirate ship which reminded us heaps of our Croatian boat which was kinda cool. We sailed for about

45 mins and then reached an active volcano very close to the village of Fira. We hiked up it for about 40 mins, took in the amazing views and naturally took lots of pics then headed back down to our boat. We then sailed to another lil volcano area where they told us there was a mud bath for therapy and hot spring. We did not expect quite what it was but it was still cool. We had to al jump off the boat into the water, which was very choppy with a strong current, and swim to the area of water that was hot springs and wasa reddish brown colour. We were expecting like hot hot springs but it was only kinda luke warm! But still cool. And some mud on the ground but def not enough for mud therapy! Cool experience though. We all fought our way back out into the cold sea and against the current and waves to the boat again and about 50 of us all had to try and get changed on board! We sailed to the base of the cliff face that Fira is on the top of and caught a bus to the top. By this stage it was 8pm and we got told that we had to be at the cable car in time to be back at the boat at 8.30! So we literally had 10 mins to walk frm one side to the other, take a few amazing sunset pics and catch the cable car down to the bottom again, which was one of the most amazing parts cos the view was sensational!! We loved Santorini and can’t wait to go back there cos only saw such a tiny snippet of it!

We raced home to get dinner eaten quickly as everyone had like 15misn to eat once we got back on the boat. We have to be up at 6 tomorrow so we had another early night after writing postcards and sorting pics! A great day!
