It is actually raining heavily today, something again, that we have not seen since Australia. After months of only been able to get “Nescafe” we were ridiculously happy to sit and sip our own brewed coffee looking out the rain splatted windows at the grey sky.
After breakfast we took Benjamin and Joshua for their first walk in the neighbourhood, stopping by the Vodaphone store to get a cell phone card. We have done this in each country we have visited, and now have quite a collection. In this case, a mere 5 Euros got us a local number and some calling time. It makes it far easier to contact accommodations/ bus lines/ train stations etc.

We also visited the supermarket again where Joshua and Benjamin re-enacted our experience from yesterday, delighting in the chance select their own food.

After a quiet afternoon of school work, we phoned Toronto and spoke with my parents. It sounds like we have picked a good winter to not be in Toronto, but touching base with home always reminds us of all that we have left behind.
