Atop of Acropolis, one gets an incredible view of Athens. Again, this is really a very populated city. There aren’t any high-rises, like those one sees in the US, but people live on top of people, and the urban sprawl goes on for miles. The surrounding area is quite hilly and this make for a lovely cityscape with the mountains in the distance. I thought Athens, for the most part, was a very clean city. The major roads through town can be pretty noisy and the exhausted from the mini cars and motorbike was a bit nauseating. But Athens has some super lovely parks and charming neighborhoods, away from the hustle and bustle. This made it easy to find some lovely quiet places.
