19 - 20 May 2-day Meteora Tour

I was entering the previous entry and the tour bus arrived so got to end it abruptly with no pix. We went on a 2-day tour to Delphi and Meteora. So glad we took the tour instead of trying to DIY, cos the guide provided so much interesting information and it's also more convenient. The guide told us that Delphi has very good weather condition, enjoying avg 300 days of good weather per year... unfortunately, this day is one of the 65 days!! 😞 Slight drizzle, we can still stay outdoor but the grey sky wasn't good for pixs. It's also very windy and gets so cold.

Anthony fell in love with the Greek salad, had to have one at each meal and for the first time, he's taking so much feta cheese. We did a booboo during ne of the meal, I tot that it was included in the tour package and wet all out to order food, end up we got to pay for it and it's a whooping 35E!!!! That $70 for a lunch! Got to scrim for the next 2 days :P

On top of the world!
Taking a pix on way down from the monastries. It was so cold and so windy I couldn't feel my nose. If you're wondering why am I in a skirt, it's a must for girls to wear skirts when they enter the monastries.

Spot where the 300 Spartans died
If you've seen the movie 300, this is the actual spot where the actual fighting took place and where they died. Due to soil erosion and land movement, the sea is further away and the cliffs are also gone. This spot is now right next to a very busy high way.

They are built like a fort on the outside to wade off attacked from soldiers in the past. The interior is totally different with lavish decor, gold chandliar, intricate wood carvings and beautiful wall-paintings. Everything is breath-taking! Too bad, photo-taking is not allowed.

Everything is worthwhile
